A school surrounded by nature - Design & Build
The new school building for Basisschool 't Kasteeltje is nestled in the beautiful green surroundings of the historic Isque castle. This innovative school features large, open learning spaces instead of traditional classrooms, encouraging students to explore and learn in groups or alone. A central atrium, with a grand staircase and plenty of study spaces, connects all the learning areas.
The large windows offer stunning views of the park, bringing the outdoors in. The new sports hall is a separate building, and the area between the school and the sports hall provides a safe entrance for students. The design of the school and its grounds carefully considers the natural environment, preserving the existing trees and plants and creating new green spaces for students to enjoy.
