Job 1 Intern Architect

Are you passionate about architecture and ready to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic studio? We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Intern Architect to join our team.

Who is Oskar?

Oskar is an architecture firm with a dual focus; on education projects on the one hand, and work-life projects on the other. Within our education projects, we can build on long and extensive experience, which we link to insights about 21st-century education. Our work-life projects focus strongly on mixed-use (combining and interweaving different functions) and the repurposing of existing buildings.

Oskar is located on the outskirts of Brussels, and is easily accessible by bicycle, public transport or car. Our projects are spread all over Belgium.

At Oskar, people always come first. This is the case in our designs, which always start from an angle of social added value, but equally in our internal operations. We are actively committed to providing a welcoming environment. A good work-life balance is a key element in this. Our horizontal studio structure makes room for creativity, cooperation and individual input. Under the wings of experienced architects, you can gain experience in a wide range of projects, with various career opportunities. We also regularly provide more informal moments, with breakfast meetings and our Oskar cafés.

Who are you?

Oskar is looking for enthusiastic trainee architects. Whether you are fresh out of school, or have already gained some experience elsewhere, you are welcome with us. Specifically, we are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

  • You have a master's degree in architecture or engineer-architect

  • You speak Dutch and/or English. French is a plus.

  • Knowledge of ArchiCad is a great asset. If you do not yet have this, or if it is a bit rusty, we also offer basic training when you start.

What does Oskar offer?

  • A regulatory internship, according to the regulations of the Order of Architects

  • Remuneration according to the bar scales of the Architects' Association during the internship period. After the internship, there is the possibility to start working as an employee or self-employed, and remuneration is done according to a transparent salary matrix that encourages growth and correct remuneration.

  • Regular evaluation and adjustment moments.

  • A tailor-made career path with rapid growth opportunities. We focus on long-term cooperation with various future perspectives, so that you can further develop your own interests and strengths.

  • A flexible work schedule and the possibility of hybrid working.

  • A wide range and free choice in further training and education.

  • Personal coaching by our experienced project architects, BIM modellers and structural engineers, allowing you to quickly gain experience across the entire design and construction process.

  • A spacious and pleasant office in a repurposed industrial building on the outskirts of Brussels, with plenty of daylight and outdoor work and lunch areas.

  • A sustainable working environment, with attention to the environment and a healthy daily communal lunch.

  • A close and young team, with regular informal moments, breakfasts together, drinks in the evening, team outings and an Oskar city trip.

Are you (almost) convinced?
