The Balancing Act: A Campus for Everyone
The Gallait site in Schaerbeek is set to undergo a major transformation. A design competition has selected a plan to turn this densely populated urban area into a vibrant campus. The site will accommodate a diverse range of functions, including schools, childcare, housing, and community spaces.
A new tower will complement the existing modernist tower, creating a balanced and visually appealing layout.
The square will be redesigned to include stepping stones, green spaces, and welcoming reception areas.
The overall goal is to create a dynamic and inviting urban environment that serves the needs of the community.
