GO! KA Tervuren
Growing Together: A New Chapter for Tervuren — Design & Build
The GO! Royal Athenaeum Tervuren is undergoing a major expansion to create a cohesive and innovative learning environment for adolescents. The new building, characterized by its unique shape and accessible facades, connects existing structures while enhancing the overall school experience.
A central feature of this project is the new connecting building, which serves as a bridge between the current facilities and promotes smooth circulation among various learning environments. The covered walkway, oriented towards the green playground, fosters a tranquil atmosphere for relaxation and play, enhancing students' well-being.
The walkway also links the playground to the central atrium, the heart of the school, where activities revolve. This impressive space spans all floors, featuring a grandstand staircase for gatherings and events, a slide for added fun, and a skylight that floods the area with natural light.
Overall, the expansion reflects a modern vision of education centered on collaboration, accessibility, and inspiration.
