Horteco

Oskar and Achilles have developed an ambitious vision for the Horteco campus, where the past and the future come together. A new school building and two new barns are carefully integrated into the existing campus and the unique identity of the site.

Along the street side, the school will present an entirely new face, showcasing Horteco’s identity as an agricultural school to the outside world. The design is inspired by the existing greenhouse structures and forms a harmonious whole with the historical buildings and typical agricultural structures that characterize the campus. This creates a subtle balance in which old and new elements complement each other, telling a new story together. The result is a campus design that is deeply rooted in the tradition and history of the location. 

Large windows in the central atrium ensure a seamless connection between the classrooms and the surrounding fields and farmland. This highlights the strong relationship of the school with its natural environment and strengthens the character of the campus as a place where agriculture and education come together.
