With this new project, Syntra Mechelen is given a contemporary campus that brings together professionalism and connection. Oskar designed a learning environment where light, transparency and flexibility take center stage. Clear circulation routes and a strong relationship between inside and outside make the campus both intuitive and welcoming – a place where students, teachers and visitors immediately feel at home.
The campus is conceived as a compact and future-oriented whole. Classrooms, workshops and communal spaces complement one another, creating a dynamic environment for hands-on and theoretical learning alike. At the heart of the building, a transparent atrium connects all functions and fosters both collaboration and visibility across disciplines.
Sustainability is a guiding principle throughout the design. Smart water management, energy-efficient systems and responsible material choices minimize the ecological footprint. Thanks to the compact building footprint, more space is preserved for greenery and biodiversity.
